"The hotel is set in an ancient dwelling built around a courtyard. While our room retained its original ancient nature, it was clean and comfortable. "A pretty hotel tucked away in a small alley in the old quarter. Typically Chinese. Rock hard beds and not very good shower pressure. Breakfast is very cheap with very little choice. No tea or coffee. Reception is friendly but little to no English. We stayed 2 nights and found a cheaper and much better place just outside the wall for the rest of our stay. Think that for $50 a night you can find better options!"

"A delightful boutique hotel right in the heart of the old city. The road to the hotel is pedestrianised with cobble stones, but the hotel sent a member of staff with a flatbed trolley to collect our luggage from the taxi drop-off point to the hotel. The rooms are comfortable with good facilities and the little courtyard area is delightful."
