"This property was wonderfully convenient to the bus and train stop…I mean within 2-3 minutes. That was so nice. And it was clean and the door locked and we had the things we needed. Ausserberg was very quiet with nothing going on in the evenings and no restaurants or anything. There was a small grocery spot but it was closed. But, it did have cool old buildings. "This is a true Swiss lodge at nearly the top of nowhere. The staff is friendly but it helps to have a little German or French. Be sure you specify exactly what you want in a room..like a shower AND toilet, or you may be sharing. You need to be fit enough to walk up to 4 flights with all your stuff. Our top floor room was lovely with 2 comfy twin beds, multiple windows and even a small sleeping loft (for kids?). "The biggest disappointment was the distance from Zermatt, our destination. It took us 3 hours one way- 2 buses and 2 trains to change to reach our destination. This results in loss of precious time for travellers, who have a tight schedule. Point de Zinal SHOULD NOT be displayed as a property in Zermatt. It is misleading- EXPEDIA to note please"
