"When I arrived the reception tried to charge me for the night...wish was prepaid. Put me in a room with No key...only the reception had a key...then ..In the middle of the night.. someone tried to get in my room.. thankfully I had put on the top lock...worst hotel experience in France!"

If you are driving in France and are comfortable going off the tourist path- this chain offers a great place to overnight. Don’t expect English to be spoken there. You need enough French to check in and out. "

"This is typical of the edge of town lodge accommodation found throughout France. Access was difficult as reception was unmanned when I arrived and I did not have the code. Had to use the help point. Room small but adequate. WiFi a bit difficult, cut out several times. Breakfast good for the price. Note : don't use this site to pay for breakfast, it's cheaper on site"

"This is an excellent choice for seeing Saumur. It is in an old building with a lot of character. My room was large, with wooden beamed ceiling, tall windows that opened, and a limestone fireplace I wish I had in my home. Ensuite had shower and had plenty of space. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and quite helpful. The hotel is part of a very large restaurant with good food and good service. It is in the main shopping and dining area, and within a short walk to the Chateau, which is the...
