"This is a diamond in the rough! The owner and staff are working hard to beautify the property and the building. Upon walking in, I could tell they were under minor construction, but when I got to my room I was amazed. As someone who lives out hotels 3-4 days a week for work, I have seen establishments where the people don’t care. This place is nothing like that. These folks are geared towards hospitality (something that is hard to find these days). The room was honestly the cleanest hotel room I’ve stayed in, in a long time. The shower actually had water pressure. The bed was much nicer than most, I finally slept through the night. The breakfast exceeded my expectations, comparing close to more upscale hotels. Food and shopping is within a 10 minute drive. It will be fun watching this hidden gem evolve into a shining light for tired travelers. I will definitely be staying here on a regular basis when in the area. "

"Two night stay for UIUC Mom’s Weekend. Though the Red Roof Inn is a bit dated and is a no frills hotel, I have to admit that the bed was very comfortable and my stay was nice and quiet. It served its purpose for a place for me to sleep after spending all day with my son on campus celebrating Mom’s weekend. It was an easy drive (about 10 mins) to campus. At check in, the staff was so friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff was also friendly. It was a pleasant stay."

"We rented this little house for our family because our son was playing in the Middle school basketball tournament at U of I. The house was located within 10 minutes of U of I and was more spacious than a hotel room. The owner allowed us a late check-out, which was very nice since my son's last game wasn't until 2 p.m. on the day of checkout."
