"A charming hotel with good parking facilities. The room was superb and very clean. Very convenient for the town. If you have heavy baggage, this hotel might not be for you as there isn’t a lift. Ask for one of the lower floor rooms. We were on the third but our bags were light so not an issue. Overall, a great stay and one we would recommend."

The room at the back of the hotel had a great view of the citadel, which was a bonus. The rooms are being renovated so I have no doubt that this will be an even better place to stay in future. "I'd say that it's a very nice budget type hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. You can get a good breakfast and dinner at their restaurant (if you pay extra). There isn't much to do around in the evening. It's about 10 minutes walk to the village, but there isn't mich there either. One thing I don't understand is why people put a (transparent) window in the bathroom, without any blinds, facing the backyard. "
