"The room and the service was excellent. Fully stocked room and very comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious and everything we needed was provided. Sharon provided everything we needed during the stay, and made us felt very welcome. There are only two rooms within the tea rooms which made it feel very personal staying. The tea room is located in a lovely village that has 3 pubs and has some really nice walks. We have even booked to return next year."

Negatives Bathroom: no mirror, no towel rails, only one hand towel in the property for three. Footbridge below Low Field Walking the footpath on the north side of the River Greta from east to west, one crosses a stile and is suddenly confronted with a surprise scene, as the small reentrant beck on the other side of the wall has cut a little gorge which was invisible from the approach. A jig to the right reaches this little footbridge leading to the continuation of the footpath to Bowes.
