"Lovely hotel. Lovely staff . Golf amazing. Recently decorated and very comfortable. Amazing breakfast. Downside was the bar menu on Sunday night of bank holiday was very limited. I travelled with my husband and four teenage sons so we wanted casual dining rather than formal dining. The bar menu is quite limited and more so on a Sunday where they do not offer the pizza and chicken wings but instead have Roast of the day. Im a coeliac and the offering was very limited. Soup was my only starter...

"Excellent experience lovely stay away with friends. Great customer service under difficult circumstances due to weather phones not working and power cuts. Staff handled it very well. A few drawbacks though for a Hotel with this many stars no bottled water in the room and the rooms were quite cool "

"The check in was quick and painless. The apartment was spotless. The common room was nice, beds comfortable, and nice linens. There was a spectacular walked garden across the street which blocked the wind and offered great refuge to and from the restaurant. The restaurant had reasonably priced entrees, the wait staff was efficient and friendly for dinner and breakfast.The door to the common room wouldn't stay open which was odd, they could leave more coffee supplies when there's 10 people...

"Start to finish a truly wonderful experience for my wife's 70th.birthday, unfortunately the breakfast was a bit of a let down ie. My wife's French toast was cold and my fried egg was frazzled, definitely the worst fried egg in Ireland. The egg makes the fry. Booked a table for 7pm Saturday evening. Arrived at 6.50 and we were told to wait outside in a side room until 7 even though the restaurant was empty at the time. Not even an offer to provide us with a drink while we waited. Hence we went...

"Lovely hotel with great views. The room was large, bed large and very comfy, and bathroom large and well equipped. We didn't get a chance to go to the spa but had a pleasant walk around the grounds which are well sign-posted."

"We stayed in an upstairs stable room, the room was lovely, beautifully decorated and the bathroom was fab, shower was very powerful and a nice deep freestanding bath. Only complaint was the unbearable heat of the room. Every radiator was scalding hot and there didnt seem to be any way to turn them down or off. The light switch panels also didnt seem to do much, took a lot of button pressing just to get the lights to turn off. "
