"Nice historic hotel. Had a great feel about the property with beautiful grounds. I messed up my reservation and only booked two nights instead of three but Patrick was so good about getting me the extra night and allowing me to stay in same room. The water pipes are a bit loud when turning the shower on, and they don't sweep off open third floor walkway, they offered tea for an option at breakfast but they also need to include herbal tea. Overall it was a great stay."

"The outside of the building is a wreck. The lobby is new and the front desk clerk was great. The biggest problem was the condition of the building, very run down, and the cleanliness. When I went in the bathroom, there was something nasty all over the wall where your knees would be when sitting on the toilet. I don’t believe for one minute a cleaner couldn’t see it. I used hot water and a washcloth and wiped down the walls. I could have forgiven everything except that nastiness."

"Was pleasantly surprised. Room was mostly clean, but the floors need a serious mopping. My feet were actually black on the bottom after walking around. It surprised me, because everything else was spotless. Bed was amazing and the response from the office was excellent, when our reservation was messed up (not their fault). We will consider staying there again."

"Close to everything in Lynchburg, whether you’re here for school, shopping, or visiting like we were. We loved coming in after our excursions during the day and grabbing a hot chocolate on the way up to our room. Sarah at the front desk, usually second shift, was absolutely wonderful! She always had great recommendations, including Mr. Goodies, a local dessert bar that was fantastic!! The only drawback was how loud the hotel could get.
