" Self check in. Cool! Fine for a one night stay. Feels like an undecorated dorm room. No frills like blow dryer, coffee pots etc. It was very clean Air condition barely or not working so opened windows and endured alot of road noise and humidity (it was raining). "This is an old hotel and too expensive for its quality. However the difference is made by its staff. No elevator but the staff promptly offer to carry up the luggage. Nice area for breakfast. The parking site is very close. They justify the price because it is located at a few blocks from the cathedral."

"A very old stone building very nicely renovated and modernized. Our room had small windows but the stone fireplace and old sink were gorgeous; the A/C worked great. We had the hotel breakfast one morning--it was fine, reasonable cost; but there are plenty of cafés nearby as well. Alda corp evidently runs several similar hotels in Santiago. "
