Inside, the reception area is attractive and bright. Warmly greeted - which continued every time we entered and left (you have to leave your key). "We were in the area to take part in an event so wanted a convenient, no-frills base for a couple of nights. Hostal Villa fitted the bill perfectly. Being located a block away from the river it was really convenient for nice morning and evening strolls. Our event was on the outskirts of Cádiz, only about a 15 minute drive away, so this location was convenient, but enabled us to stay outside of the busy city. The staff on reception were welcoming and helpful."

"Lovely ancient building but very small room and stinky. Lots of air freshener and/or fabric scent was used to cover up something. I smelled something very bad when I sat on the bed, not sure where the smell was coming from because the bedding was white. Didn’t have to be the bed, I didn’t want to cover myself with the blanket.
