"This was a good place to stay. We only wanted a quiet night's sleep. We were up and out before breakfast. It is an old motel, reasonably refurbished. If there was any downside, it was the lack of hand towels. We would stay here again."

"I liked the cleanliness of the hotel. The front desk personnel were courteous. I was pleasantly surprised that they offered fried eggs, sausage, and potatoes in addition to the other breakfast items. The only unpleasant thing to me was the designated smoking area at the main entrance to the hotel. Perhaps the designated smoking area should be in a different location. "

A lack of recent rainfall exposed this clay bank along Wright Patman Lake in Bowie County, Texas. Beginning in 800 a.d., Caddo Indians used clay from this region to make their famous pottery. The earthenware pots were made by hand and fired in an open fire.
