"This is the place to go to experience the beauty of Northern Ontario, Canada! Quiet, clean and amazing staff who are so accommodating and so down to earth. These folks make you feel like family during your stay. Make sure to grab a bite to eat at the restaurant conveniently on site - Route 64 - for some homemade deliciousness! Learn more about Alban

Check out Grundy Lake Provincial Park and French River Provincial Park—just a couple of the sights around Alban.

French River Provincial Park. When traveling up north make sure to check out the suspension bridge here. It costs nothing to venture to the park and has a great visitors centre and trails. Be careful when hiking as Canada's most poisonous snake has made its home here. Some history...The French River was the main Water Highway to the west in Canada from 1600 to the 1820's. The Ojibwe name for the river is Wemitigoj-Sibi. The early French explorers gave the river the name la Rivière des Français. The park does have sites but they can only be accessed by canoe.
