Room was basic but adequate for a short stay, only downside was the shower ( we had read previous reviews so knew this might be an issue) it was snug & water came out in bursts rather than a constant flow."

"It's fine. Cheap place to stay. The noise is the biggest issue. There were dogs barking in reception one morning and no attempt from anyone to quiet them down. On the last night there was someone in a room practicing opera from 10pm til gone midnight. Think they need to remind guests and staff this is a hotel and people are trying to sleep. But as I say it's clean, cheap and staff were friendly."

"The hotel itself was great. It had a retro feel which we loved and the staff were lovely. However, it seemed we couldn’t leave and re-enter after 10pm as we didn’t get a key to the main door. It also felt quite unsafe outside as there were many men hanging around trying to talk to you as you looked for the entrance. The entrance is quite concealed, so would be useful to be given instructions on how to find it. "

"The photo in the picture if the pool is not part of the hotel. It is a communal pool 500metres from the hotel which also is of extra cost. I complained to hotels.com about it because we booked the hotel simply for the pool, which it doesn't have, yet the picture is still there. Very misleading. Parking costs €5 overnight. Good location for wandering around the town. In fairness, the bed was comfortable and room was clean, but was very dated. "

"Quirky little place. No curtains in any of the rooms we saw, just a heavy lace. Your door was either deadlocked or open, no snib lock, turn your hot water on 10 minutes before your shower or it will be cold, very little storage space and small bathroom. "It was a little difficult to find as it's set back from the main road. My Satnav found the right address but after driving round a one-way system several times, I had to leave my car in a nearby carpark then go looking on foot.
