"I really enjoyed the balcony terrace for our room, it made it so much nicer to throw the doors open in the evening and enjoy the breeze. It also has to be said that all the staff are very friendly and accomodating. However, I must point out that the amenities at the hotel are dated, and if you're sensitive to smoke, then this might not be the place for you. The smoke seems to linger in the hallway and room, and even the vents for the air conditioning (which is more like a fan system than AC)....

"The room had everything in it that I needed for an overnight stay, including a fridge. However, the hotel has clearly seen better days. The showers base was badly cracked, the basin tap dripped continually and there were notches cut out of the bathroom door to allow it to open without hitting the toilet! The pillows were rock hard, and the guy on reception seemed fed up. All that said, it was a hood price and prefect for getting to the airport by train. (€9!)"

"We had an amazing stay at phidias. The room was a spacious and very comfortable. It had a patio doors with a 2ft wide balcony. No good for sitting out on but nice to have the windows open. The hotel is on a back street, dont let the outside street disuade you, the inside of the hotel is lovely. The area is not really a tourist area but is a cosmopoliton meeting place for local greeks. Most people in the area do speak english. There are lots of street food vendors and some very nice restaurants,...

"Good value for money double rooms good size with balcony fridge decent size toilet and shower. Promenade location in the center if everything. Good hot and cold breakfast selection. Would stay again and recommend. Major danger at this hotel incase of fire do not follow emergency exit signs they all lead to chained and locked fire exits with heavy security bars which could present a death trap in case of a emergency. In case of evacuation only use stairs leading to main reception "

"Half price than other hotel that are like 500 meter away... Area have lot of homeless person hanging around but they do never bother you. The half price mean you have to walk in a Shaddy area, at night, I wasn't even bothering to be on sidewalk, I was walking straight in the street and felt somewhat ok. For half price of competition , it was worth the saving. Hotel was clean and service was good. Nothing to complain given the excellent price "

"We stayed here just for one night before we boarded our cruise, it was good value for the money we paid as the rooms are clean, check in is easy and the beds were comfy. It’s also convenient for getting to the port nearby, the only negative comment I would have is that it quite noisy at night but didn’t cause too much of an issue. "
