"No air conditioning. And yes, it does get hot in Boquete during the day. So it will be uncomfortably hot in your room during daylight hours. Also, extremely noisy, smallest sounds are amplified by the way the building is designed, compounded by the fact that you have to keep your window open because there are no A/C units. In short, you'll be up all night listening to others, trust me. I would strongly recommend you stay somewhere else."

"The overall facilities of the property were very good. Rooms were clean and they had all the necessary amenities to be comfortable (small refrigerator, microwave, washer/dryer, BBQ stove, a private terrace), However, the hotel has way too many rules and policies which makes it unwelcoming. If you infringe on any of these rules it will cost you. These rules include the hours of checking in and out, visiting hours of non-registered guests, losing of keys, among others. "Fireside Inn is a lovely, restful, rustic retreat local near a mountain river. The Inn has its own ducks enjoying a small stream and little duck pound. George’s Grill offers great food. Try the baked fish in banana leaves or the tasty breakfasts. Had a lovely walk up the hill to see waterfalls, coffee trees, and many flowers. Or walk down hill to Boquete and enjoy flowers and rock walls"

"Rosy (owner) is wonderful and friendly. We arrived late in the evening and she was still there to check us in. Pros: Attractive welcoming reception area deck with pool table and lounge chairs, restaurant, tours offered, free WiFi. HOWEVER: It's a good thing the wifi is free, because it is terrible, and was inoperable most of the time. The restaurant is closed indefinitely. The kitchen area is outdoors under a tarp. I don't think we could have booked a tour, but we didn't try. We never saw Rosy...

"The location of this hostel is a bit removed from town but there are busitos available every hour to go in between for 1$ pp each way; as long as you're not too claustrophobic. Angel is fantastic for letting you know the times when they'll be coming through if you ask and will even message and watch for them if you need to catch one. Amenities are basic but comfortable. Wifi speed was about 4-5Mbps. Cleanliness was pretty great with only a few smaller issues that come from sharing a bathroom....
