"Front reception was lacking in friendliness and efficiency upon arrival. Dark haired woman was befuddled by my request to have an early check in at 14:05 v. 15:00. She said she would have to reach out to the extensive housekeeping team and made it seem like quite an imposition. I waited for 10 minutes and she never approached me with an answer. It was very strange. I had to approach her, whereby she gleefully informed me that check in was at 15:00 and my room was not ready. Aside from that...

"Lovely overnight stay , was here for wedding at nearby hotel. Very comfortable beds , room was spotless. Reception staff very friendly and had a great breakfast served by Gary , nice decor in dining room. I had the veggie fry and sausages were homemade and delicious , all food was freshly cooked and hot. Would highly recommend "

The breakfast service could do with finding someone who is more accommodating as apposed to the night shift porter who greeted us after our evening out and enquired if we were okay for water in our room for making tea/coffee and gave us a new bottle of water. "We had a serene and relaxing visit at Hillcrest B&B. Noeleen is a wonderful host and gave us wonderful suggestions where to visit and hike in Yeats Country and beyond! Our accommodation was clean and comfortable, and our daily breakfast was complete with farm fresh eggs, pancakes, porridge and pastries.
