"This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. "Stayed one night only. The room was comfortable. Even though the heating was not on due to it supposedly being summer, as the room was a little cold we were able to turn on an electric wall heater to take the chill off the room & a blow heater in the bathroom. The quality and pricing of food and drink in the bar were excellent. The cooked breakfast was included, which was also delicious. Would definitely stay again."

"No better place for a relaxing time. Nicely located for a trip into the lakes if required. Extremely clean and Mark very helpful with good communication and doing all he could for us. Only negative it says hot tub which we wrongly assumed would be at the cabin - however I assume he is referring to the jacuzzi in the swimming area and I feel this should be highlighted.
