"It's in great location, walkable from the main train station and also walkable to the main touristy/restaurant area of the city. The room we had was huge, more like a small apartment. Everything was in great condition and checkin was super easy. Having the free bus pass was very handy, as it meant we could make our way back to the airport at no extra charge (you need bus 50 to get to the airport, it stops just on the left hand side (as you are walking out) of the main entrance to the SBB...

I’d definitely skip the morning breakfast ‘for a fee’; wasn’t worth the cost and there are so many local patisseries around with delicious choices."

"Nice hotel in Basel and reasonably priced- apart from the breakfast - wow that’s expensive for tea and toast.😳. Service is great but then it usually is in Switzerland. No kettle in the room but that was soon corrected. Get a garden room if you can. Those at the front can be noisy."

"Excellent staff at check-in. Helpful with suggestions. Cleaning staff was a bit inconsistent with replenishing cups, towels, tea, sugar etc. Very small fridge in room but it was not very cold. No microwave. Comfortable bed with warm duvets. Very close to train station and trams. East to get around without car. Confirmed hotel stay alllows free transit within Basel.
